Race Announcement [PDF]

Head Travel Coach: Conor (Bucky) McDonald
Additional Staff: Tim Thornley (ASC), Kiefer Davis (AVST)

Coach’s Travel Itinerary: The plan is to fly into SLC and then drive to Jackson.   It’s much cheaper to fly into SLC, and vehicle rentals are cheaper with more options.   The winter storms in Jackson have been plenty this year and the airport is often closed during the storm cycles.   We can’t risk not getting in or out of the Jackson Airport.   Please book your airfare to match Bucky’s itinerary (pictured here).

Athletes and coaches will be staying at the Modern Mountain Motel in Jackson Hole arriving March 19 and departing March 25, 2019.   This hotel may still have some rooms available, but there is another event (Hill Climb) in town that same weekend and most hotels in the vicinity are close to capacity. Parents should try to find lodging at a nearby hotel if they want to remain close-by.   There are several other hotels within close proximity – a couple of blocks.

Food:  Hot breakfast will be provided by Modern Mountain Motel for coaches and athletes.   Athletes and coaches will eat together for lunches and dinners, and parents/coaches are helping to coordinate group meals.
